Off to try a long hike tomorrow in Malaysia so I decided to cook tonight (sat) instead of Sunday. I cooked something new this time… Emperor’s Chicken (皇帝雞)which gave me a chance to try out my bamboo steam trays. Take a look:
The chicken is wrapped up inside (sorry I should have taken a picture before I sealed it) and steamed for an hour or so. I believe the traditional way to make this is outside in an open fire using leaves… anyways, you can see how mine came to be. The final result is below:
Here is the rest of the nights cooking. I’m not sure why the dried peppers got so dark. They didn’t burn… but lost their dark red color. Oh well.
