I got on the scale today at the gym and weighed in at 78kg. This means I have lost about 5lbs since arriving in Taiwan. Unlike most people, I am not trying to lose weight. What is the remedy? How about some nice Taiwanese fried goodness.
Stands like this are everywhere in Taiwan. You grab a basket and fill it up with anything you like. Fish balls, sweet potatoes, eggplant, chives, and of course… chicken.
After you make your selections Mr. Lao Ban in the back fries it up.
In an effort to balance out the fried stuff… I grabbed a bowl of pork ribs stewed with traditional Chinese medicine broth. I usually buy fried noodles from this lady so she was a bit surprised that I changed my order.
I’m not a big fan of Chinese medicine but this was nice.
